FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. I discuss with the client to understand their vision and the scope of the event, including musical preferences and atmosphere. 2. If we agree that my style and expertise are a good fit for the event, I will provide a quote that includes performance time and travel fees. 3. Once the quote is confirmed, I’ll reserve the date in my calendar to avoid scheduling conflicts and will send an invoice or contract if required.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I played college golf at Ohio University and my senior year I tore my labrum which required surgery that ended my dreams of becoming a professional golfer. In my recovery, needing something to do for my own sanity...I taught myself how to play guitar. I fell in love with it. Then Covid happened and all I did was practice guitar and playing music. I wanted to play in front of people but knew I wasn't quite there yet. When my wife and I got married in August of 2020, we hired Will Freed to play music for our rehearsal dinner. We hit it off great and he let me play a song that I wrote for my wife in front of our friends and family. We became close friends and he asked me if I wanted to start sitting in with him at some of his gigs which I said yes! After 10-15 times of playing with him, there was a gig he couldn't make because he got COVID. He asked me if I wanted to cover for him and play the entire show by myself. I said yes, it went great, and that was the beginning of my music career. Since 2021 I have played over 300 gigs all around the United States. I have had paid gigs in: Ohio, Michigan, North Carolina, Florida and Tennessee. Music is my passion. It got me through one of the toughest times of my life and I will be forever be grateful for the beautiful gift that is music!
