The quality of work was poor. This person is not a Professional. The contractor presented he new how to address the project. My deck boards were incorrectly installed. Safety concerns did not seem to be a priority for this contractor as the attached pictures showed. Deck joists in some areas had no washers or nuts, unleveled platform. Step stringers were installed incorrectly. Measurements and cuts of joists and deck boards were wrong, causing delays in project completion. Purchased wrong material for job (installed untreated wood for deck joist). I had to purchase the correct TREATED lumber. Also, contractor was not on site on a daily basis, at times left inexperienced friend or family member acting as his hired workers, again delaying progress of the project. Contractor refused to take accountability of his poor workmanship, so we decided to part ways with this contractor. We were totally disappointed with his work and felt that Thumb Tack could have done a better job of evaluating their contractors before allowing them to post for hire on their platform. I would not recommend this contractor for any deck related work. I wasted a lot of time and money on this contractor for something I could have done myself with just a bit of patience. So now I will complete this project myself.
