FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
In general, my hourly rate is $60 / hr, but I typically work with the client to set up a hybrid pricing model This means that it is a fixed fee for the whole project up to certain specifications, such as number of concepts and revisions and / or billable time logged. Once those specifications are met, any work done will be charged at an hourly rate and will be added to the fixed fee. I generally generate the fixed fee so that it ends up being a discount on the hourly rate (for example, I might quote $450 for up to 8 hours of billable time, which is a $480 value), but then charge an increased hourly rate for any "Additional Work" that needs to be completed on the project. I have found that this keeps both myself and the client focused on completing the goals of the project without it getting too out of hand!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Step 1: Gather as much information as possible about the client and the project Step 2: Design one or more rough drafts (especially for logo design) and submit for review Step 2a: If necessary submit a couple other drafts to better fit the client's needs Step 3: Prepare final draft Step 4: Complete final revisions
