FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My quote will include all expenses rolled in, including travel time, set-up & tear-down time, plus however long the performance time is. Also keep in mind that customers are paying for my time and service during that time. For example, if you have an event where I'm performing for an hour, then taking an hour break during speeches, and then performing another hour after, then I still charge for all three hours. if you have me and/or the band take a break for an hour during speeches, etc.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Provide me with as much detail about the event as possible in your request, and we can discuss the rest of logistics via online video conferencing, or via phone and also through email. Once we have ironed out the details, customers then hopefully officially hire me through Thumbtack. I will then send an agreement and invoice. If the location is far and travel is long, there would be a deposit required in advance.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been performing guitar professionally for 20 years or so, and been playing for over 30. I am most often hired for business office events and client appreciation functions, but also for the occasional wedding, birthday or anniversary. Outside of Thumbtack I have been hired by restaurants to perform for their guests in Oregon, Washington and Ohio.
