FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
There are many variables involved in a mold situation. I do not give general pricing, or even at-the-house pricing, most times, as I must consider all aspects of the work that need to be done. Some houses are harder to work in than others (ex. crawlspaces that are smaller or more pipes to maneuver around etc.) I am generally about 25% less expensive, as I don't have the overhead that most other mold contractors have.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. I talk with the owner to find out where they see the problem, and what their concerns are 2. I inspect the property to find the cause - using a thermal imaging camera to scan the walls and ceilings to find any moisture sources 3. Depending on what I find, and what health issues the occupants are having, I will recommend air samples to be taken for testing - this will show the severity of the mold infection, if any, in the house. 4. I will then put a detailed estimate of the scope of the work needed, and the cost - I work with the customers, and help them save money where it's possible 5. When the work is done, I take final air samples to show that it was done successfully.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
