To be fair to all who are seeking my services, I use a sliding scale that adjusts my fees based on the aggregate family income of my clients.

- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would suggest you shop around :) Counseling - whichever type you may be interested in- is primarily a relationship. Like all other human relationships, your counselor can be great, but still wouldn't work for you. Research shows beyond doubt, that the quality of the relationship the counselor and the client(s) have is the single most important indicator for success in counseling. As such, finding a counselor you LIKE and feel comfortable with is more important than their expertise or method they use to do counseling. That may require seeing them or talking over the phone and deciding to try someone else. That is OK :) it happens, and it is healthy
