FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Not Standard. I generally charge a base price per square foot for staging homes but not before I see the location, ease of access (stairs, narrow doorways etc.) and speak with the customer about their needs. If it is a refresh, I will price according to time, items used (mine, yours or combination of both). If it is interior design, I price according to time spent and percentage of involvement. (Am I looking for furniture, paint, tile, light fixtures, etc.)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Meet with the customer at their home or office, assess the space and listen to their requirements. Try to get a feel for likes and dislikes and ask what the budget is that we will be working with so that I may give them the most for their investment.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I like making sense of someone else's puzzle. I have a legal background, and have been designing and staging homes for friends, relatives, co-workers etc. for years. I decided to try to make it beneficial for all parties involved.
