FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The fee is $115 for a one hour commercial, real estate, portrait and headshot photography. I offer discounts if I take photos of more than one person at the same location. Why one hour? I prefer to set up lights and a backdrop if necessary and discuss other on site adjustments. I don't charge for travel, but I also prefer to have a phone call before the shoot to discuss your needs how I can best meet your expectations. I meet at public places, businesses and homes. Some public locations may require an additional fee. Public parks sometimes have policies for commercial photography. If we don't use props and special equipment, that may not be an issue. I also take nature shots on a custom basis. Those fees vary.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I am respond promptly and adjust communications to your preferences. Texting is popular after an initial call.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a 1986 bachelor's of arts journalism degree from Kent State University. I've been shooting since 1983 when I took a black and white photography class toward my degree. In recent years, I've taken classes at the Cleveland Photographic Society in Broadview Heights, Ohio (I'm a member). I've been mentored on photography and learned through others by participating in competitions (placing in the top 3) and an exhibit at the Beachwood Library.
