Mike Lamb was the best home inspector we’ve ever had. His assessment of the property was exceptionally thorough. He provided hundreds of pictures with detailed descriptions of the problems. What added the most value and sets him apart from the rest, is the time that he took after the inspection to explain each of the areas that were problematic. Also, he identified which problems were most immediate. I give him the highest recommendation and would use him again if the opportunity arose.

The inspector (Mike Lamb of Protective Home Inspection) was very thorough inspecting my entire home inside and outside. He answered all my questions, gave me excellent advice on some simple things I can actually replace and fix myself. I also received a report through email of all deficiencies with my home and the price was excellent. I talked with 2 other inspectors whom were unwilling to take on the job and charged more. Although I needed the document to help with value of my home, this also gave me an action plan where I can tackle one project at a time. After being in a home for 17 years basic wear and tear does happen and we can always get helpful ways to upgrade or improve things. He was respectful in changing his shoes to prevent from tracking outside debris in my home. I am so glad I went through Thumbtack App…I’ve already made note of other Pros needed to help with my projects. You’d will be surprised at certain things you don’t actually pay attention to that can be done to improve your home. I charge a flat rate by the square footage of home.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I ask questions specific to property, then I explain how the home inspection process works, what I am going to look for and what I am going to inspect. Answer any additional questions they may have.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Certified through Homespection training institute in home inspections and Ohio department of health in Mold testing. State of Ohio Radon tester, Veterans Administration Specially adaptive housing inspector (SAH). Many certification through InterNACHI, which can be seen on my website.
