My experience overall with Sunnyside Piano studio has been fantastic. Marcel is an excellent teacher. My daughter has been able to pick up playing the piano quite fast. I like his style of providing homework and lesson goals. We love the star system! Highly recommended!

I have no experience playing piano, or any music at all (I am a 22 yr old adult). Marcel had me feeling comfortable reading music by the end of our first session. Very calm and patient. He is both a pianist and professor of music at a college, meaning he not only knows how to play well, but he also knows how to share his knowledge in an understandable way as well. Looking forward to my lessons with him over the next year+

Marcel was the first piano teacher of my daughter, for almost a year. We stopped taking his classes because he moved to a new location and the commute would be very inconvenient for us. My daughter was always looking forward to going to his class, and she made a remarkable progress in a relatively short period of time. Marcel is very good with kids, and knows how to keep the right balance between discipline and fun. He is well organized, methodical, and makes no compromise when it comes to the quality of the interpretation (he would not give a star sticker unless the interpretation was very good). The recital that he organized for his students was a great experience, very useful and enjoyable. I have no hesitation to recommend Marcel as a piano teacher.
