FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do my best to keep my prices reasonable. A lot of the time, when someone is looking for a new job, it means finances can be tight. It's important to me to be available to help through that situation. These are my prices, but please reach out. If there's something I can do to help you, I will. Basic Resume (beginner): 75$ Standard Resume Cost: 95$ Experienced/High End Resume: 115$ Cover Letter Add On: 25$ (35$ on experienced resumes) **Interview Skills Add On: $40 - $55 LinkedIn Profile: 15$ Jump Start Job Hunt: $50 Individual situations may be priced lower/higher - let's chat about it!! **My interview practice service is one I'm very excited about! This is something that not many other people offer, but stems from my time teaching job skills. We go over all basic interview skills. I research the job you're applying for, and prepare practice questions based on that company specifically. If there isn't a specific job lead yet, I also coach general tips and tricks to use in interviews, and the "do's and don'ts" that make a huge difference. We can cover as much or as little as you need, from basic tips and tricks to what to wear to how to answer the most complicated and weighted questions. We can also set up a mock interview where you can practice with me.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When we initially connect, my first goal is to find out everything I can about you and your job search. I'll ask for an email with any stage of resume you might have (it's okay if you don't) as well as some information about you: schooling, what you're good at, why you're looking for a resume... anything at all. I will respond to that email within 24 hours with any small questions I may have. I will also start creating your resume. Next we schedule and phone call where we can talk through some of my notes and questions/clarifications as well as anything you want to ask or any opinions you want to offer. This also helps me get to know the person I'm presenting on the paper. After the phone call, I will be able to fully dive into completing your resume. This of course can go back and forth a little, depending on what changes you may ask me to make, any edits you want after you see it, any gaps in information I notice as I'm creating it. I do my best to make sure this process is completed in 4-5 days. Sometimes, life throws us a chance we don't want to miss out on. If something comes up, like a specific job lead, and you need the resume on a more expedited timeline, we can talk about that and I will do my best to accommodate. I work every weekday and I often spend a little time building resumes on the weekend, but I cannot guarantee that. As far as contact hours, unless we plan something specific, you can expect me to respond to emails/texts/messages any weekday between 12 and 7. If I see something I can respond quickly too outside those hours, I usually will.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a work study for a Career Services Director while getting my massage therapy license. I ended up being hired at that same school to teach anatomy, but quickly started covering the career development program. I taught resume writing, job interview skills, and job hunting strategies. I worked one on one with each of my students, and maintained an 85% hire rate right out of school. During that time, my students were varied throughout the medical field, including medical billing and coding, dental and medical assistants, lab techs and massage therapists. As my work grew, I expanded my experience into every other field that I could. My skills and knowledge of the job search process have taken me into almost every field.
