Laura is such an attentive instructor. She is very much an expert in her field and a great teacher. She takes time to correct during lessons and provide helpful guidance for all levels. Her teaching during our lessons has really helped to change my playing. I’ve noticed a huge difference in my ability in the last year and much of that is a result of my lessons with Laura!

I started having flute lessons with Laura in October 2018, and it was one of the best things I could’ve done for my flute playing. Before meeting Laura I was at a plateau and unhappy with my tone. I was also very intimidated by the pieces I wanted to play. This is no longer the case since starting lessons with Laura. I’ve grown closer to my flute and many aspects of my playing have improved. I notice this the most in my improvisations and sight reading. I’m also slowly mastering the high register, which is a major goal for me. What I enjoy the most about my lessons with Laura is her humor and how she helps me think about my playing in new ways, and from the perspective of a musician. She is also flexible and understanding, which I believe are important qualities in a teacher. I feel very lucky to have her as my flute teacher, and don’t see this changing any time soon!

laura is a terrific teacher.....she has the insight to pick up on problem areas and correct them before they become recurring issues.......she is the unusual mix of a concert level performer who can translate her skills into a successful teaching style....highly recommended for all levels of students....

My 8 y/o daughter has been taking lessons with Laura for almost a year. Laura is a great fit for my daughter, and the curriculum is both beautiful and very appropriate.The difficulty level of the pieces increase gradually and logically. Laura has provided wonderful guidance which has been encouraging and rewarding for my daughter.
