- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I got my first taste of home repair 11 years ago after my first year at SUNY Oswego working with my cousin learning to sand drywall and paint. i slowly developed basic skills for a few years while i finished school and after school I worked as a cabinet maker at Christiana Millwork for 3 1/3 years. I then began working under contractors doing floors, framing, roof repair, electric, sheetrock, ceiling tile, insulation, concrete, and carpentry. During this time i have developed a knack for wood working and finishing as a hobby that developed i to a honed craft. Also during this time as a contractor i began working with low voltage power in my family owned security business. Here I've learned the ins and outs of home automation, CCTV, and alarm systems. During all my development into a "jack.of all trades" I keep myself busy doing home repair and painting projects.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
After high-school 11 years ago I was looking to do hands on work and thats when I got my start with painting and drywall which developed into general construction and contracting. From there I followed in the steps of more experienced tradesmen and began to learn how to do many aspects on my own.
