Introduction

As the owner of Kenneth Irving, Architect PC I am directly involved in all aspects of the project and I continually maintain a productive and communicating partnership with my clients. I am available to discuss any aspect of the project at any time. I am register Architect in New York, Connecticut and New Jersey. I am also a Member of The American Institute of Architect as well as LEED Accredited Professional in Building Design and Construction. We work on residential and commercial projects ranging from alternations / additions to new construction. I enjoy architecture because it allows me to develop designs and solutions to suit the clients needs which comply with their needs.

I contacted Manny from Kenneth Irving Architect via Thumbtack. He was one of several architects who responded to my request. Of all of them, he was the only one to offer a free in person consultation to look at the scope of the work to be performed. He promptly got back to me with a quote within a day. He scheduled to return a few days later to perform the necessary measurements. The day before he came, I discovered that I now needed an additional room added to the project. I informed Manny, and he graciously drew up a new proposal with the new work included. He came by on schedule, and did all measurements. Within a week I had all drawings, documents, and applications needed for my renovation project. My experience with Manny was very pleasant, everything went smoothly and his work was done in a very timely manner. Glad I hired Manny for the job, and would highly recommend to others.

So far he is excellent. Very open to ideas and suggestions, but also has the vision to tell you that something might be better another way. Delightful personality, easy to work with , professional. Will update again as the project starts to unfold with the builders, but as of now great architect and we have had interviewed and used a few over the past 30 years. Most have retired that we used, but there are a few still out there, but lack vision, preciseness and professionalism.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do not a standard pricing system for our services. After the scope of Architectural Work to be performed is established, the amount of time required to complete the work is calculated and a proposal is prepared based on that fee.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I initially discuss an Architectural Project with a new client I visit the site and meet the owner to discuss the scope of work. During this initially meeting the work area is reviewed and the goals of the owner are discussed. Based on the information discussed a proposal is prepared for the work. There is no cost for the initial meeting.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have Bachelor's of Architecture degree and I have been a registered Architect for 22 years and have worked in the Architectural Field for 28 Years. I am an active member of the American Institute of Architects. I am also a LEED AP in Building Design and Construction (Sustainable Design). I am continually attending seminars in order to insure that I am current with codes, regulations and manufacture products .
