Ishmael taught me all of the tajweed rules in a digestible and applicable way. His method for teaching Quran is very simple and effective, anyone can learn from him no matter where they are starting from. He is also very encouraging and keeps me accountable in continuing to memorize Quran even when life gets busy. Since working with him, I have been able to memorize 1/2 of the 30th juz, starting from knowing zero Quran, and plan to continue learning more with him. I have also completed the Marina Arabic Book 1 with him and he was always available to answer my questions and break down any grammar rules I was confused about. He has also shared great techniques for learning more vocabulary. His class was very professional and even included a midterm and a final exam to help us track our progress. I would recommend Ishmael to anyone, of all ages and all ability levels.

I enjoyed learning the in-depth grammar, as he is highly efficient at explaining and helping us understand the concepts. He excels at breaking down the basics of the language, making it easier to grasp. Learning a language is by no means easy, but it is definitely fun and rewarding with his guidance. Additionally, learning the Quran with him was an amazing and enriching experience.
