- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge a flat-fee per piece. Rates range between $5 to over $125 per piece depending on the size and assembly complexity of the furniture.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've assembled over 85 pieces of flat-pack furniture over the last 6 years. While over 75% percent of that has been IKEA furniture I have experience with other brands and models as well.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was maybe about ten years old when my mother bought her first IKEA furniture. I loved solving puzzles and after looking at those instructions I knew this was one puzzle I wanted to solve. The first piece I put together was a six draw dresser. I would always volunteer to solve these "furniture puzzles" as I would call them for friends and family. So I've always been the one family and friends called when it was time to unpack and assemble their furniture. These were the beginnings of what led to today.
