I am a Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) as designated by Professional Photographers of America (PPA) AND, unlike many real estate photographers, have a brief background in real estate, as I was an agent with eXp realty. So, I essentially have a view of real estate photography from both perspectives. Moreover, photography is something I am truly passionate about, which is why I made the switch in the first place -- to be able to continue to work in the real estate industry but in the capacity in which I can do so the best.
How's this for honesty, though? I fully acknowledge that I am just starting out in transitioning from "regular" photography (nature, landscapes, etc.) to real estate photography. Everyone has to start somewhere -- at one point you were a new agent looking for your first listing! As such, I'm still really in trying-to-build-up-my-portfolio mode (so that I have more real estate images to display here on Thumbtack and elsewhere). What this means for you is that I am willing to be VERY flexible initially when it comes to price. So, if you're interested in having an inexperienced but highly-credentialed photographer shoot your listing at a deep discount, let's talk!
PS. As can be seen from these sample images, I am proud to have some of my images featured in the Westchester Town Planner calendar! In a county with a population of almost 1 million (and I would have to think quite a few serious photographers), I consider it an honor to be among the few selected to showcase the natural beauty of this area in which we live. Are the skills necessary to produce such images exactly the same as those required for real estate photography? No, but I like to think that a good eye is a good eye, and that there therefore IS, in fact, some carryover.
