I am a Rochester NY native, where I've cultivated my passion for photography since adolescence. Photography isn't just a job for me. It's what I live to do... ever since early lessons, alongside my mother at Monroe Community College. Then in 1998, I took a photography class at Penfield High School, having my work chosen for display in the art showcase that year. Then when I was a business student at MCC in 2003, while I worked as a real estate photographer for Virtual Imaging Corporation. These foundational experiences, such as learning to master light meters and develop film in a darkroom, ignited a lifelong love for capturing moments in time. I almost exclusively shoot an Olympus DSLR camera with 12 megapixels. It has a beautiful image sensor and the right balance of manual mode settings to make it a very powerful camera. Although natural outdoor lighting is preferred, I also have a variety of lighting solutions from reflectors to strobes to speedlights.

My daughter and I got our Christmas photos taken today morning by Ben and the results were amazing! Ben was professional, kind and punctual! Prior to the photoshoot, he contacted me to talk about the shoot and to get all the details that were important to me. During the shoot he checked in by showing us images on his camera to ensure that we liked the images . He made great suggestions to enhance the pictures and he was very patient with my 6 year old! The turn around time was super quick and the quality of the pictures great!! I'll hire Ben again for my spring pics and definitely refer and recommend him to anyone in the Rochester area who needs professional portraits

On short notice Ben came through for us and got us a beautiful Christmas card photos with our 2 dogs. He was on time when he met us at a local park. He got us our photos promptly as promised and was interested in our complete satisfaction. It was a pleasure working with him.

Ben was an awesome choice for my new husband and I to have take our elopement pictures at City Hall! He was able to make our vision come to life when we showed him our inspiration pictures and he was super attentive with getting the right shot. We appreciated Ben's flexibility when we had to reschedule and his willingness to even finish our shoot on another day when our's got cut short from the rain. We loved how our pictures turned out!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I no longer do most portraitures… although I will make exceptions for certain clients. I mainly focus on couple's photography, maternity photography, and bridal showers.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
What mood and scene type are you looking for? Candid or posed? Outdoors or indoors? For weddings, Natural or photojournalistic? Something for social media or something more traditional? What 3 things do you value most in how you want your photos to look?
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've taken high school and college photography classes. I've worked as a real estate photographer during college. I run my own successful portrait photography business for over 4 years.
