Introduction

What I do: I am a standardized test tutor with 15+ years of experience preparing students for the SAT, ACT, and professionals for the LSAT, GMAT, and GRE. My rates start at $125 per hour. Discounts are available on a case by case basis. Currently I meet students only via Zoom. I graduated NYU with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Theatre, then attended business school at Columbia University, completing my M.B.A. at the University of Minnesota. I’ve worked professionally in the finance industry and in journalism, including a stint as a reporter for the New York Times. I am also a professional playwright, screenwriter, and director, with work produced on stages from New York to Paris and an original pilot coming to streaming services soon.

I have had the pleasure of working with Pat for many years in a performing arts capacity. I attended theater class at Arc Stages in Pleasantville, NY when I met Pat. Pat served as a director and acting coach for main stage shows. As one of his students Pat confidently, thoughtfully, and passionately taught me and my castmates our blocking, acting technique, and songs in order to help us succeed to put on a great show. Pat's philosophy as an educator is progress over perfection - and as a student that gave me the skills and drive to push myself to give it my all because I wanted to support and make Pat proud of me. I still work with Pat as an acting coach and it's been 15 years since we started to work together. While I am not a professional actor working with Pat has helped me to focus on what makes me happy outside of work and keeps me on my toes. Patrick is an excellent tutor. He takes the time to really learn about every single one of his students. He assess their needs, and then adapts his teaching style to fit them. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Every student starts with an assessment test. From there, I break down strengths and weaknesses, cover areas of knowledge that need shoring up, and teach strategies and time-saving techniques to improve outcomes.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 99th percentile scores in the SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, and LSAT. I have a Bachelor's from New York University, and a Masters from the University of Minnesota.
