Introduction

To say we are a boutique voice studio would be an understatement. More than the superior technical and functional training WVS provides, we have had our most-significant successes in the lives that we have changed, careers forged and TANGIBLE results we've achieved through our students (both our professional and, in some cases, legendary singers as well as our novices). My job is to make sure that every client gets optimized training and an experience that is profound and worth far more than the tuition they pay. If neither myself nor my staff is the right fit, I want to put them in the right hands regardless of what that costs me in time and resources. I have a real passion for this and have sacrificed much of my own professional career pursuits to ensure the successful path of others. I have studied with more voice teachers, pathologists, scientists and renowned industry professionals than any colleague I know... and yet, I have gained more knowledge from my students than any of my formal training could provide. I see every client as a puzzle to be unlocked... not merely their voice, but their entire self-perception. This provides me with great fulfillment and joy to know I might be using the voice as a conduit to change not just the way someone "sounds" but the way they LIVE.

Wickham Vocal Studio is the place to be..I went to Patrick to get a vocal assessment and was beyond satisfied at what I received. First, let me say that Patrick is SPECTACULAR at what he does. He not only went over scales and exercises with me which were VERY detailed, he actually did what I call a hands-on approach with what was going on with my throat area while I was making certain singing sounds. The hour I spent with Patrick I gained so much knowledge about what was going on with me physically. He worked out a plan that is geared toward ME and my specific needs. He is a absolutely great teacher and his personality is wonderful. He makes you feel very comfortable and is so knowledgeable about the voice and what works. I am a beginning singer who has a deep passion for singing, and being an older adult, Patrick made me feel so much better for deciding to pursue this at a later age!! If you are a beginner like myself, or a seasoned professional, I say there is no other place to go. You get so much for your money, in addition to an outstanding lesson, I received about 12 vocal exercises in my email geared toward my specific issues to practice. Patrick is always their to answer any questions you have and he truly CARES about you as a person and is gonna do all he can to see you grow and achieve (as long as you put in the work)...On top of that his voice and personality are PHENOMENAL..I have definately "STRUCK GOLD" with Wickham Vocal Studios!! Sorry for the long review...but I am so pleased with my lesson at the school I cant wait for the next one. For what you get for your money, they could be charging much much more...actually one of my vocal people did charge almost double and I got nothing but 1 hour that felt like I was in a factory...So if anyone is looking for a GREAT BANG for your buck...this is the place to be!! You will be in a warm, friendly, caring, inspirational atmosphere with authentic, truly, caring people that will get the JOB DONE!! Thanks Patrick...UR A ROCKSTAR!!!

Patrick is an amazing teacher, one who gave me the confidence to continue with singing after I'd worked at it on my own for years. Taking the Vocal Assessment showed me specifically where I needed work, after which targeted exercises have helped me to improve in those areas. Since last winter, my friends have acknowledged a noticeable uptick in my performances, which I attribute in large part to Patrick's teaching and guidance. Beyond exercises for my voice, he's also been a friend and challenged me to define my expectations as a vocalist. Everyone interested in improving their voice, even if only through the Assessment, should take lessons here!!

I had a great experience with Wickham Vocal Studios. I have taken vocal lessons more than 10 years, but the six months I only took lessons with Patrick, changed everything. He trained my life style, my body, my mind as a professional singer. That means a lot to me. Also they have a wonderful singing boot camp every Saturday. The teacher is very knowledgeable too! He teaches you about your body, your ears. It's very helpful when you sing. You can take the wonderful class for free if you are a student of them. I really wanna keep continue to work with them, unfortunately I have to move other state. But I'll definitely go back to the school when I come back to NY!!

I've been studying Vocal Integration with Patrick since April, 2013. Patrick is incredibly knowledgeable about the physical terrain of the human voice and provides just the right ype of exercises to develop the best sound. As with anything in life, you must put forth the effort. He will guide you down the right path and provide excellent encouragement and advice, but you will get out of the experience in proportion to what you put into it. On a less technical note, Patrick is a huge personality and a lot of fun. I always look forward to my lessons! I can't imagine studying voice with anyone else. It is hard to imagine that anyone else could have provided the same level of results that I've experienced. He's fabulous.

Great instructor/mentor. Patrick and his team have a detailed progress plan which tracks the areas you're currently working on, the progress you've made and goals you're working towards. After just a short time studying with him, I had corrected 90% of my bad habits and have gained the confidence to perform in public! All lessons are recorded which is great for listening to your own singing as well as reviewing tips or directions he had given you. Overall - highly recommended

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We build a plan around your budget. Pricing is based on the teacher, duration, frequency, term of study and add-on classes. We want the chance to win you over before we talk about money! I've discounted my Vocal Assessment to just $45 for all Thumbtack customers.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initially, WVS students are required to have a one-of-its-kind VOCAL ASSESSMENT so we can determine level and factors such as: Musicianship, Application, Technique (Agility, Range, Flexibility, Power, Efficiency, etc.) and the actual Functional Mechanics to make sure they pursue the exact type of instruction that will ensure their progress and success. If there are no instructors here that fit, we have a large network of highly-qualified affiliate instructors that will!
