**13+ years teaching fitness in NYC ** Based in Upper Manhattan (Washington Heights/Inwood) - But will travel throughout Manhattan I specialize in PILATES based strength workouts that: - Strengthen the body - Increase mobility - Realign the hips - Lengthen the spine - Chisel the powerhouse/Core - Increase flexibility - Strengthen proprioception/balance I am also a Certified PERSONAL TRAINER (NASM-CPT), and I have experience working with clients who are: - Recovering from spinal injuries - Pre & Post Natal - Pre and Post Menopausal - BRAND NEW to exercise. - Training to increase power & agility - living with Parkinson’s - In need of BALANCE training - Managing autoimmune disorders - Neurodiverse - Recovering from a brain injury I offer both IN-PERSON & VIRTUAL sessions, or a mix of the 2. My rates vary based on location (if it’s in person), but stay the same for virtual. ***I offer a discounted initial 45min session to see if we’re a good fit** I’m continuously inspired by my clients. Emily is absolutely the best! She is experienced, attentive, thoughtful, and kind. She has an extremely positive and helpful attitude. She makes adjustments to the exercises as needed. She is prompt, dependable and professional. You could not ask for more in a private Pilates instructor! I would recommend her to anyone.

I’ve been working with Emily for over 2.5 years now. Exercise is something I generally run away from. However, because of back issues I realized I had to do something. Emily has really helped me strengthen my core and overall body strength. The floor pilates moves look tiny but they can be extremely challenging. Emily pushes you to get stronger each training session - with just the right amount of incremental difficulty.

I have taken a number of different classes with Emily from chair Pilates to pound, from Zumba to Pilates and everything in between. In every class, Emily creates a positive, high-energy space, so that everyone gets excited about working hard even if they're new to the work and feeling unsure. Even in large classes, Emily is able to find and focus on helping people who may need corrections to form. She is able keep the exercise going at the perfect pace for everyone else around when focusing more individually.
