FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard rate for a single session is $120. I offer bulk discounts for 5 session packages for $575 and 10 session packages for $1100. However, I am open to negotiation as I believe functional fitness to be affordable and accessible to everyone -- let me know your budget!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer a free 45-minute consultation before each training session. I give a thorough postural analysis in conjunction with a prospective personalized Pilates program. Next, we have a conversation your fitness needs and goals, and devise a potential plan of attack together!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I earned my Pilates certification with the Pilates Academy International in New York City. My accreditation ranges from Pilates mat to the full apparatus repertoire (ie: reformer, chair, cadillac/tower, ladder barrel, arc barrel and spine corrector). In addition to my formal certification, I studied with Joseph Pilates protégé Kathy Grant to supplement my dance training at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. It is there that I received a BFA in Dance, as well as a BA in Anthropology. I continued my studies in kinesiology and movement analysis with renowned anatomist Irene Dowd while pursuing a MFA in Dance with the Hollins University and American Dance Festival partnership on fellowship. I have worked with clientele of all levels and lifestyles! I spent several years as a senior instructor at Manhattan's premier Pilates studio, Pilates on Fifth, alongside luxury fitness companies such as Mind Over Matter Health & Wellness and Equinox Clubs. I was recruited to instruct public mat classes at Lincoln Center's lululemon athletica, as well as to accompany professional/pre-professional dance curriculum in North America, Central America and Scandanavia. Presently, I have 10+ years of experience training elite dancers and athletes, as well as senior citizens, pregnant women, television/film celebrities, weekend warriors and clients rehabilitating various injuries. My current practice specializes in private instruction. Outside of the studio, my choreography has been commissioned both stateside and abroad. I am also a dancer with The Metropolitan Opera and faculty at Tisch School of the Arts. Pilates bridges my love for movement with my interest in muscular anatomy and exercise science; a middle ground between my professional dance career and my background education.
