FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The $225 fee covers tuning, general cleaning and assessment. Other issues like sticking keys, squeaky pedals or loose hammers due to loose screws are also included in the price. Broken strings, serious key problems and action regulation are extra - once I assess the piano, I can give you a more accurate quote for this type of work.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’ve over 40 years of music performance experience, from recording and touring to composing and arranging music for musical groups, theater, film and tv. I believe that as a lifetime pianist and performer, those experiences give me a unique point of view when it comes to serving my clients musical needs.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I’ve always been intrigue by the mechanics of the piano ever since I started playing when I was four years old. Yet it wasn’t until I decided to take a break from performing that I seriously immerse myself in piano tuning and technology.
