- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get your fitness history, injuries, and goals. Why are you deciding to train now? From there we set up your training folder. My style of training is calisthenics based. We do simple movements but they are targeted, dynamic, challenging, but extremely effective. Additionally I want all of my clients to understand why we do the movements, proper form, and language. At the end of the day I want you to be able to be just as knowledgeable as I am and feel comfortable to workout on your own!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Certified Personal Trainer through National Academy of Sports Medicine
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was a dancer from the age of 2. After transitioning out of professional dance into operatic singing I found I still missed the intense workouts from dance, I had several injuries, and wanted to help others find their love for fitness. While in my masters program for Opera I went through NASM’s certified personal training process. I love both my jobs being an artist and trainer and find the two intersect nicely!
