Introduction

I currently work as a private chef for an actress at a film set. I am a passionate cook with a hospitality degree. I took culinary and baking classes in college. I cooked for families throughout college, bartended in NYC, and started writing a food blog. I run my own business, cook for my client at the movie set on weekdays and cater private events on weekends. I also hold a WSET Level 2 Wine certification and offer wine & food pairing dinner option. In addition to my own business, I work for some of the best catering companies in NYC as an event chef. All I do is cook, bake, blog about food, and eat out to be inspired. I am a culinary volunteer at the NYC Wine and Food Festival and Napa Valley festival. I specialize in Eastern European cooking but I love to make dishes of other countries as well. My favorite cuisine is Mid-Eastern. I hold a NYS Food Handler’s License and SafeServ certification. I am also a TIPS-certified bartender.

Hired Radka based on her great reviews here. She didn’t disappoint preparing a Friendsgiving for almost 20 adults. She sent me a sample menu to review after I told her of some of the dietary preferences. She invited me to make any changes or requests. We made some small changes which she happily accommodated. We did a relaxed dinner (not formal sit down) and she brought out food as it was prepared. All guest were very “oooh, ahhh” and some of our friends are hard to please but even they were impressed with the presentation and more importantly the taste of every dish. Everything was great, her pumpkin cheesecake was incredible and the salmon I could eat every night. Couldn’t have been more pleased. If you need a private chef in Long Island she’s definitely an amazing choice.

Chef Radka exceeded all expectations at our wellness retreat, providing a stunning pescatarian dinner that was both creative and delicious. Her attention to detail and flexibility in planning made the entire process seamless; she was communicative, punctual, and incredibly open to feedback throughout. The menu was thoughtfully crafted, starting with a flavorful amuse-bouche of local squash and apple chutney, followed by a beautiful Mediterranean cheese platter. The miso-crusted cod was a standout entrée. Radka also contributed to cleanup, which was greatly appreciated. I would absolutely hire her again and highly recommend her to others looking for an exceptional dining experience.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Bartending and event help is charged per hour and includes everything from travel to set-up and break-down. Personal chef and catering services are charged per head and include everything from menu consultation, groceries, travel to clean-up. Additional charges apply for extra courses.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask a lot of questions in order to meet/exceed my customer’s expectations. I want to know their food preferences and dietary restrictions or allergies.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
