- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My lessons are typically 45 minutes long. (30 min or 60 min available by request) My standard rate for kids (any K-6 subject + ESL) age 4-14 is $45 per session. K-6 Test prep is $50 per session. Homework help (30 min) is $30 per session. Weekend and holiday rate is $50 per session. My standard rate for adults (ESL) is $40 per session. This is for advanced conversation. For accent, pronunciation, grammar, and lower level training ESL my rate is $45 per session. I offer discounts for families, clients who take more than 1 class per week, and for those who refer me. All rates subject to change based on consultation, needs/goals, prep work involved, timing, etc. Rates are generally adjusted 1-2x per year to match demand.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a free 10-15 minute phone or video consultation to get to know each other and what kind of learning goals you have for yourself or your child.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.A and M.Ed in elementary education with a specialist in educational technology and am certified to teach K-6 with an endorsement in ESL. I’ve taught in a variety of schools both in the US and abroad for the past ten years. I also have managed and mentored teams of teachers for many years. I’ve designed curriculum for the primary years IB (International baccalaureate) programs. I’ve also taught English conversation to adults of all levels of English. I’ve been teaching online for two years.
