As a performing musician I have played for 3 presidents and the Queen of England, traveling throughout the U.S and abroad. As an instructor, I have taught both at the college level, various music schools and have currently been teaching from my studio for the past 8 years. I teach from my studio located at 68th + West End Av. And lastly, I really get a lot of satisfaction watching students progress, realizing their goals, and getting excited about doing something that they weren't able to do before.

Robert is an excellent piano teacher. He meets you where you're at and adapts his lesson plan to fit your interests/learning style. His keen attention to detail is very helpful as far as developing proper technique, and as someone less than enamored of sight-reading, I particularly appreciate the way he has incorporated improvisation into the curriculum. Within a few lessons, he got me playing a 12-bar blues progression which has helped me navigate the keyboard with a greater sense of purpose. Would highly recommend!

Robert is excellent! I had minimal musical background when I started taking lessons with him and only a few months in already feel confident playing some simple pieces. He worked on my hand posture, scales, hand-coordination and gave me some fun songs to learn. He is very patient and provides lots of constructive feedback. Highly recommend!

Rob is a great teacher and musician on his own. His non-rushed and hands on approach really corrected my bad habits. He taught me how to read music and play in ways that I never thought of before. Most importantly, he is truly happy when you are improving. Definitely the best guitar teachers that I ever had. Highly recommended.

I have taken piano lessons from Robert for a few weeks now and my ability to read sheet music while I play, as well as understand music theory (big areas of weakness for me) have already improved significantly. He is a great instructor who understands what you need in order to become a better player, and he creates a fun and relaxed atmosphere that makes me look forward to my lesson each week. I would highly recommend Robert as a piano instructor!
