I have been taking lessons with Chris for the past year and a half. His teaching is excellent and I feel that I have not only improved at the guitar but also learned a lot more about music — even learning more about myself and what I find musically pleasing. He is attentive and patient with students and has a talent for explaining musical concepts to students of all levels (great use of metaphors!). I highly recommend Chris to anyone who is interested in learning the guitar as well as some concepts that make music beautiful.

So I have been working with Chris for about a month. I am an intermediate player who started taking lessons five years ago and struggled to have the "gaps" filled in terms of theory. Chris has done a remarkable job in filling those gaps and have made the process fun in my opinion. He's absolutely great to work with and I would recommend him to anyone.

Working with Chris is the best! His approach is a perfect balance between playing skills and learning about music theory/history. As a complete beginner, I've appreciated his pace, and I've been impressed by how far I've come after just 3 months of lessons. He helps you learn the music you want to play, but what has also been a great experience is allowing him to push the boundaries of my interests. I came in planning to learn a couple of pop covers, but he's got me listening to classic rock now like never before. He's an awesome teacher and a great guy. I can't recommend his lessons enough!
