FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing for DJs is difficult (impossible) to standardize, and can be frustratingly non-transparent for potential clients. My range for weddings is $995 - $1595, which can go either way depending on circumstances of the event (such as equipment needs or travel). For other events, best bet is to ask! If what you're able to afford is doable for me, I will make it work. If not, I will happily offer alternatives.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First step is to confirm availability for all particulars (date, time, location), confirm budget, sign a contract, and then get to work on making your event sound amazing.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Like most students of my generation, I spent waaay too much money on post-secondary education. Hence, I have all sorts of fun skills to draw upon for DJing! I graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University's School of Music in Music Performance, and also have a diploma in Theatre Arts (Musical Theatre) from Grant MacEwan University in Edmonton, Alberta. In New York City, I studied DJing and Electronic Music Production at Dubspot under DJ op! and DJ Reborn, and with The Official at Rock and Soul.
