Introduction

I am a professional Mental Health counselor in practice for over 15 years. I also have 15 years experience in addiction counseling. I am extremely passionate about helping people who find themselves suffering in darkness find hope, help and healing, learning to walk and continue walking in healthy mental, physical and spiritual health. I can not just pick "ONE" adjective to describe my amazing experience with "The Well"........At some point in every Christians life there maybe a need for assistance. Whether it's dealing with grief or loss of job, finding the "right" help for a Christian can be extremely challenging. I prayed for assistance for what seemed like forever......then one day I saw a face book post for "The Well's".... my world was changed since my initial conversation. And it continues to move in a direction that is Biblicaly based and filled with constant references to GOD and scripture that are assisting me through this difficult time in my life. The professionalism and responsiveness to my personal needs have been a blessing sent by GOD. I am thrilled and privileged to have this resource available to me. I am truly grateful to "The Well".

I put off going to a counselor for years because I wanted to see someone who also understood and respected my Christian world view. I made the appointment based on a friend's recommendation. Paul has helped me find clarity, hope, and a vision for a better future in a way that is consistent with my values and beliefs. I never thought I would be comfortable going to therapy. I now view coming as an investment in my own mental and spiritual health, the health of my family, and the kingdom of God. I've brought my teenage daughter (who had been seeing a different therapist) and she leaves feeling hopeful rather than drained and discouraged (her previous experience). I don't have to push her to come, she looks forward to it, as do I. I'm so glad I found the courage to start. I would recommend Paul without hesitation. Don't overthink it and just make the appointment, it will be worth it.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am an LCSW and currently am a self pay counselor and am not on insurance panels. However I am working toward this but it takes time. You can contact your insurance company and see if they pay for out of network counseling and if they do you can submit paperwork with my information and they may reimburse.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I am very relational and the first thing I do is sit, listen and ask questions. It is important that you feel safe and trust the process before you can feel vulnerable enough to share your heart and thoughts.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an LCSW with 15 years experience with mental health. I also have 15 years experience with substance abuse and currently run a substance abuse treatment program. As far as Christian counseling is concerned, I daily practice my faith and practiced under some of the best Christian counselors in the field, incorporating scriptures that deal with mental health, substance abuse, anxiety depression and help Christians line up their faith with their mental, physical and spiritual lives.
