I am a Mannes School of Music piano graduate who has been teaching in the Queens/Long Island area for the past six years. My teaching experience includes teaching my own private studio, teaching fellow colleagues in college, teaching at a private music school, and substituting for fellow colleagues. I am currently teaching in my own private studio.
My students have often reached their goals with me, and at times exceeded their expectations. I don’t only teach how to read the music, but also what the composer intended in the score, and the musicality needed to sway the audience. My lessons cover more than just playing piano, and includes music theory, piano literature, and music history. Learning theory helps you understand the music even more, and is a helpful tool to aid your ability to play piano proficiently. My lessons are fast paced but covers all the details. I make sure my students understand the concepts before moving on.
Many have won awards from international competitions, and some have performed in prestigious halls such as Carnegie Hall and Merkin Hall.
I have personally worked with world class musicians during my training. Pedagogues include Yuri Kim, Mark Evans, Daria Rabotkina, Stephanie Brown, Massimiliano Ferrati, Quynh Nguyen, Vladimir Valjarevic, Michael Thomopoulos, Vladimir Valjarevic, John Kamitsuka, and Oxana Yablonskaya.
I continuously reinvest resources, and time into becoming a better teacher. I connect with my former teachers about their methods, and have joined organizations such as MTNA, and Piano Teachers Congress. My efforts have been recognized by Steinway & Sons, one of the best piano manufacturers in the world. I joined their Steinway Teacher and Educational Partner program in 2023. My annual recitals will be held in the prestigious Steinway Hall in Manhattan, thanks to the Partnership program.
Please feel free to reach out to me to inquire about my lessons. I am passionate about teaching piano, and hope that students are inspired the same way I was.
