FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We are compensated for Tax Preparation and/or advising our clients in several ways. Personal and Business Tax Preparation: Tax returns are always challenging to quote over the phone because we can never tell what's involved without seeing the prior tax return and current year information. Most clients believe their taxes are simple, but most range in the medium to the complex range and therefore require more time on my part. Personal Tax Returns typically start around the following: 1. Form 1040 – One Federal and One Resident State Returns start around $250 for the following: a. Two Form W2, one form 1099, and one Form 1098 b. Additional fees are around - $50 per non-resident and/or part-year state return, $50 per one Sch-C, and $50 per one Sch-E, etc. Business Tax Returns typically start around the following: 1. Form 1065/1120/1120S – Start at $750 for one Federal and one resident state tax return.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My team and I run a national Tax, Accounting, and Advisory Practice working efficiently and virtually with clients all over the country. While we are geographically located in Lindenhurst, NY, and can meet in person with local clients, nearly all meetings are held via remote video or over the phone. We have created the following simple process for our tax and financial planning clients. 1. First, we will have a meaningful conversation about how we can help you, your goals, priorities, and vision for the future. It's essential to understand what you hope will happen to you financially and what you fear might happen. We take our time in this meeting to understand your psychology around money, your steps towards building financial security, and what motivates you to create a financially secure life. For Personal Financial Clients Only: 2. Second, based on the conversation, we will build a personalized financial plan that addresses your potential concerns, objectives, and goals and highlight the steps you need to take to achieve your goals. This is the stage to discuss strategy, tactics, and financial products and see if there is a good fit or a desire to work with us long-term. 3. Third, we bring the plan to life by helping you implement the strategies and recommendations. At this point, we will work together to open the accounts, review investment strategies, set up protection and retirement plans, etc. 4. The last step is to check in with you quarterly or annually to keep you accountable and review your progress. Regardless of how busy our lives are, we recommend meeting at least twice per year, one for Tax Preparation and the second to review your Personal Financial Plan, change it as needed, and continue to grow your wealth and strengthen our partnership.
