- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
When proofreading a document, whether Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, emails, etc., we usually discuss a flat fee based on the number of pages should it be a lengthy project. If it is a large project, we can also discuss those rates. For shorter projects, I have an hourly rate of $45-$50/hour, depending on the needed services. I work fast but with accuracy. There will be different rates for proofreading and/or copy editing. I give discounts to repeat customers and more significant amounts of work. I do work remotely. I will always speak openly and honestly and do my best to follow up with any concerns. I can't wait to get started on your project!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I am here to make your life easier. I am very experienced in proofreading, line editing, copy editing, and grammar. I want to ensure that the customer's needs are met and that we are on the same page regarding all aspects needed before we begin the process.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My education includes, but is not limited to: ADELPHI UNIVERSITY Garden City, NY Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, Social Sciences, 2004. My mother was an exceptional English teacher and mentor. I am constantly seeking opportunities to enhance my communication, writing, and editing skills through pre-recorded or live classroom/on-demand webinars. I have over 13+ years of experience in proofreading and editing.
