FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Videotape / DVD Transfer - $19.99 a tape / DVD (VHS, DVD, MiniDV, Hi8). Also includes $15 editing fee and $20 distribution fee. More than 15 tapes: $300 - flat rate, includes editing, archiving, and re-burn DVD file. Firewire transfer is the best and highest quality transfer for VHS and VHS C as well as Hi8 and MiniDV. Originally designed by Apple, firewire prevents frame dropping. When the priority is for the client, frame dropping or quality loss is not an option. ** prices may change depending on project if they are more complex and are not on this list, I will not change prices after the client has already paid.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, a phone call or email is received from the client and I follow up with that particular client. In that email/phone call, the client discusses the project that he/she wants me to tackle. I prepare valid options for the client to make sure that I understand what the is necessary to make sure that the client is 100% satisfied. We discuss pre-production (planning), production (what is going on) or post production/video transfer (editing, transferring tape). Any type of changes I can discuss with the client at any time. Anything that the client can imagine, I can create. If there are problems, I will fix them immediately and work with the client as much as possible if necessary. All projects are completed in 2-3 weeks or less.
