FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $100/hr for shop time and onsite work. However, my pricing is flexible and I'm always happy to negotiate if you have a fixed budget. Simple engravings typically run about $50-100, since most of the cost is front-loaded in setup and material preparation.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Every job has its twists and turns, so communication is crucial. Producing an exceptional finished product is collaborative pursuit between craftsman and client. Just tell me what you'd like to accomplish and I'll quote you a price and time-frame.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Engineering degree + 10 years' experience in a variety of trades. While I specialize in woodworking and goldsmithing, my skill set also includes CAD modeling, 3D printing, machining, laser engraving, and hand engraving.
