They did an excellent job. I wanted to have 12 people for a buffet style sit down dinner. Susan was very flexible and easy to deal with when it came to changes to the menu and number of people. She showed up on time and was prepared. I wanted dinner at 7:30 and that is exactly when it was served. The food she prepared was delicious and fresh. She contributed in making the evening an experience that my guests will remember. Thank you Susan.

There were two main reasons why we decided to hire Chef Sue (David James Catering). 1. The delicious food (obviously). 2. Chef Sue's attentive personality. I was confident that she would make sure not only the catering went off without a hitch, but she made sure the wedding in general went off without a hitch. I can't thank the David James team enough for making my wedding the most incredible experience with the least amount of stress as possible. Thank you thank you!!   • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    I talk to them and see what they are looking for . I customize every menu to my customers needs. We decided on a menu and price . Then I set up a tasting to make sure I can provide for them what they want. Then when that goes well , we sign a contract.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I am a culinary institute of America graduate, and I was a chef in the United States Coast Guard for 27 yrs .

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

    I volunteered my services to work at the Mark Twain house . I support a non for profit animal rescue group called Kenways Cause . They help all dogs and cats in the Hartford area. It is a great cause because they help so many animals a year and I love animals.
