**COLLEGE ESSAY ASSISTANCE**READING COMPREHENSION**GRAMMAR**CREATIVE AND ACADEMIC WRITING** Hi! My name is J. Barufka, but my students call me Ms. B! I offer reading and writing tutoring for 3rd–12th graders. Literature has always been my passion. In 2021, I graduated with a Creative Writing degree from Columbia University. After graduating, I worked in the editorial department at Candlewick Press, before transitioning to Brilla College Prep Middle in the Bronx, where I taught reading comprehension and writing to middle school students. I have been assisting high school seniors with their college applications for four years now. In the past, the students I worked with went on to receive admission to top-tier institutions, such as The University of Chicago, Wake Forest, and Virginia Tech. I am new to Thumbtack, but not to tutoring! I'm excited to work with you!
