Yuika Abe

Yuika Abe is an acclaimed Japanese-American songwriter, singer, producer and keyboardist based in NY. She has carefully cultivated her sound and style over the last ten years, performing at venues across the globe and working with some of the top professionals in the industry as her mentors and collaborators. Yuika did her Bachelors in Popular Music at Goldsmiths College, University of London and her Masters in Studio Composition at the SUNY Purchase Music Conservatory. She is a piano/voice/songwriting instructor with years of experience teaching all ages and has taught at many music schools including the Rye Arts Center, Blue Balloon Songwriting School, and her own private lessons. Her lessons have an emphasis on creativity and caters to the student's musical voice. Even if you are new to an instrument, Yuika strives to make the lessons fun and creative, and supports her students in making and playing music that is truly unique to them. As well as her teaching career, she currently works as a songwriter/collaborator to many artists, producers, and brands, recently co-writing a track for Crest's Scope Squeez Mouthwash ad in collaboration with Duotone Audio. She has a strong foundation in pop and songwriting but also has years of experience working with a diverse range of genres. She believes that the best way to learn is when you are making music that you truly enjoy and that encompasses your own creativity. She is excited for more musical journeys to come!
