FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Since no two events are alike, I'll create a custom quote for you. This will depend on the guest count, items you'd like to taste, rentals (if needed), and staffing.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If you're interested in working with me, let's schedule a phone call so I can hear more about your event, your guests, and how I can help you create the ideal tasting experience. After getting a clear picture of your goals for the event, I'll create a quote for you. Once you approve your tasting selection and pay your invoice, you'll be confirmed! My in-person and virtual tastings come with a custom tasting workbook with all the wine details and some fun tips, tricks, and bonuses. My fees are refundable up to a month before the event; if you need to cancel or reschedule within 30 days I give a 50% refund.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry; and while I have a certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers and have worked in some of NYC's top restaurants-- my best training has been traveling the world meeting winemakers, touring vineyards, and learning about how the local cultures relate to food and wine. My workshops and events aren't just a formulaic taste-by-numbers approach: I'll share colorful, interesting stories, fun facts, and trivia you can bring along to your next dinner party. My style is warm, relaxed, and enthusiastic-- if you're looking for a very formal experience I might not be the host for you.
