FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Reach out to request our pricing menu! Each event has a per-person fee that covers all of the delicious goodies we'll be tasting, and other materials needed. Then, there is a flat Event Fee that covers taxes, service fees, and insurance. We offer optional upgrades for each event that can be customized-- for corporate groups, we can even source branded items for your company!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. If you're interested in working with me, reach out to request our Tasting Events Menu-- and let me know whether you're interested in an in-person OR virtual experience. 2. Once you've identified the program you're interested in, we'll schedule a phone call so I can hear more about your event, your guests, and how I can help you create the ideal tasting experience- and answer any questions. 3. After getting a clear picture of your goals for the event, I'll send your proposal, services agreement, and invoice. 4. Once you approve your tasting selection and pay your invoice, you'll be confirmed! My in-person and virtual tastings come with a custom tasting workbook with all the tasting details and some fun tips, tricks, and bonuses. My fees are refundable up to a month before the event; if you need to cancel or reschedule within 29-14 days of the event, I give a 50% refund. Payments are non-refundable if the event is cancelled less than 14 days out.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry; and while I have a certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers and have worked in some of NYC's top restaurants-- my best training has been traveling the world meeting winemakers, touring vineyards, and learning about how the local cultures relate to food and wine. My workshops and events aren't just a formulaic taste-by-numbers approach: I'll share colorful, interesting stories, fun facts, and trivia you can bring along to your next dinner party. My style is warm, relaxed, and enthusiastic-- if you're looking for a very formal experience I might not be the host for you.
