If a last minute cancellation is needed, the student (or their guardian) has until the end of the month to reschedule. It is the sole responsibility of the student to contact us about rescheduling a lesson. If attempt to reschedule is not made before the end of the month, student will be charged full price for the lesson missed. Note: I will do my best to help students to find a time for a makeup lesson, however, it is much harder to find available appointment times towards the end of the month so it is recommended that any attempts by student to reschedule missed lessons are done in a timely fashion.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When first starting to work with a new student, our teachers start by getting an idea of their previous music education and background, learning more specifically about what they want to learn and their musical goals and objectives for the near and distant future, and taking note of the kinds of music that they enjoy the most. Using that information, they are then able to create lesson plans that are specifically tailored to the needs of that student. Every student is unique, and our job as their teachers is to adjust our teaching styles accordingly to ensure that they get the best training and instruction we can offer.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a graduate of Berklee College of Music with a degree in Film Scoring. As a Composition major, it was necessary as part of my degree path to study and become expert in many different subjects of music, not only composition, but also Songwriting, Music Theory, Harmony, Arranging, Production, and Mixing. I have many years of experience teaching many different aspects of music and am all currently working as a music producer, arranger, songwriter, and mix-engineer in NYC.
