FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
As a photographer, it's important for customers to have a clear understanding of my pricing structure to avoid any surprises. Here's what you should know: Package Rates: I typically offer different photography packages based on the type of event or service (e.g., weddings, portraits, commercial). Each package includes a set number of hours, edited images, and sometimes extras like prints or albums. Hourly Rates: For smaller, more flexible sessions, I also offer hourly rates. This is ideal for portraits, headshots, or smaller events. Travel Fees: If your shoot is outside a certain radius from my location, there may be additional travel fees. I’ll make this clear in our initial discussions. Extra Services: Add-ons like second shooters, drone photography, or rush editing are available at an additional cost. If you're interested in anything specific, feel free to ask so I can tailor the package. Discounts: I occasionally offer discounts for off-season bookings, referrals, or multi-service packages (like combining engagement and wedding shoots). Deposits: A deposit is typically required to secure your booking, with the balance due before or on the day of the shoot. This ensures that your date is reserved. Cancellation or Rescheduling Fees: If you need to cancel or reschedule, there may be fees depending on the timing. I'll provide you with a clear contract outlining these details. Transparency is key for me, and I’m always happy to break down the pricing so you know exactly what you’re paying for. If you have any specific needs or budget considerations, let’s discuss them!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new customer, I aim to create a seamless, personalized experience. Here's a typical process: Initial Consultation: We’ll start with a conversation (either in person, over the phone, or via email) to discuss your needs, vision, and expectations for the shoot. Whether it’s a wedding, portrait session, or commercial project, I want to understand your goals and style. Proposal & Agreement: Based on our discussion, I’ll put together a proposal outlining package options, pricing, and any custom elements. Once you’re happy with the details, we’ll move forward with a signed contract that clearly explains everything, including the schedule, deliverables, and payment terms. Planning the Shoot: For more complex sessions (like weddings or events), we’ll have a planning session to go over timelines, shot lists, and any special requests. For portraits or other sessions, we’ll discuss locations, outfits, and concepts to ensure everything aligns with your vision. The Shoot Day: On the day of the shoot, I aim to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. I’ll provide direction when needed but also capture candid, natural moments. My goal is to strike a balance between creativity and making sure you feel at ease. Post-Production: After the shoot, I meticulously review and edit the images to bring out the best in each shot. This process includes color correction, retouching, and any special editing requests we discussed. Turnaround times vary, but I’ll provide an estimate up front. Image Delivery: You’ll receive your final images via a secure online gallery or USB drive, depending on your preference. I’ll also provide options for prints, albums, or other products if that’s something you’re interested in. Feedback & Follow-Up: I love hearing your feedback! After delivering the images, I’ll follow up to ensure you’re thrilled with the results. If there’s anything you’d like adjusted, I’m always open to making final tweaks to meet your expectations.
