- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Experience based pricing (Work includes complimentary security putty on bottom corners of all single point and wired artworks. What's additionally complimentary is Art arrangement/Gallery wall consultancy if the client isn't comfortable making Installation decisions): 1- Private clients with works that are standard sized (less than 6 feet) and weighted artworks (less than 20 pounds per artwork) that are on drywall requiring nails and hooks - $50/hourly cash is preferred. But ok for Chase Quick-pay and personal check if over $300. 2- Private clients with works that whether standard or heavier and larger size that will require wall anchors or special nails on concrete and brick walls - $60/hourly Cash is preferred, But ok for Chase Quick-pay and personal check if over $300. 3- Business clients will be charged $60/hourly if payment will be a check to be received via mail and require a minimum of 3 days wait processing. Otherwise if payment is in cash and fee is $300. or less, then it'll be the same cost as residential clients - And if the business client's work has the same degree as difficulties in guideline #2, it'll be $65/hourly. 4- There is a two hours minimum for jobs to cover the convenience, carrying of an inventory of tools, and traveling to the client's private location. 5- Clients with 1 to 5 standard artworks that takes 1 hour or less will have a 1.5 hours minimum.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once we've established contact, in order to ascertain a smooth work flow, the methodology is as follows: A- Establish the actual number, size, weight of artworks - B- Establish the type of mounting that exists behind each artwork and provide the client a list of the typical hardware mounts involved in order to be prepared for what to bring on site- C- Establish the type of wall(s) that the works will be mounted on - D- Establish whether the client will provide wall mounting supplies or not - E- Clarify that any provided hardware will cost the client a modest fee per artwork - F- Establish if the client will be organized and prepared once I've arrived at the site - G- Establish ease of access and whether a ladder and difficult heights will be an issue - H- Establish with client that odd and atypical working hours such as weekdays after 6 PM and weekends will cost a bit extra hourly, and that the workday hours begins at 10 AM - I- Be sure to establish that works that exceeds the normal guideline of standard artworks ( over 6 feet height or length and weighs more than 20 lbs.) such as heavy mirrors, shelves or any heavier items that require wall anchors will cost an additional fee on top of the hourly rate -
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Experience: 1- Twelve plus years installing multiple exhibits of other Artists' works as well as my own work in New York City as well as Germany, France and Japan with varying degrees of difficulty - 2- Four years as an Art Preparator and Coordinator with the Department of Public Information AKA United Nations Exhibits Department under the tutelage of the then Director jan Arnesen - Work involved multiple Art and complex exhibit installations including large multimedia projects. 3- An extensive skilled based background as an Industrial Designer that allows me to tackle and resolve a wide ranging degree of exhibit challenges -
