FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Inspection of piano (included in price if you do service or tuning, also a charge for checking a piano you're looking to buy or if a piano cannot be tuned) - $50-120 depending on location. Regular tuning - $150. If pitch correction is necessary, we discuss the best solution on site. Full cleaning inside - $75 Upright, $125 Grand All maintenance and major repair jobs are performed at the shop. Action is taken and returned when done, usually within a week. Tuned right after installation. The cost is determined individually depending on what piano needs. Treating tuning pins with pin tightener to better hold tune(piano is laid on back, if upright, and each tuning pin is serviced with special liquid, usually temporary solution, even though very effective in most cases) - $350. Changing the tuning pins(advised) - determined individually. I take cards, Venmo, Zelle, cash, Apple Pay and more. I always do my best and if a customer needs a lot of work on their piano I always provide some sort of discount so we can make sure the customer receives the best outcome! Discount of 10% applies to all Seniors and Veterans.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Decide a good time, come see the piano, and discuss everything important before starting. I am always honest and reasonable about my work, and do my best to make sure customers get the best possible outcome.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was taught by very talented tuners and technicians, including my father, whom I still ask for advice every time I’m not sure of something. I have only began providing service for clients instead of dealers only when I felt confident about my abilities and when my tuning was complimented by some of the best professionals I have ever encountered. I have worked on hundreds of pianos now, and I am excited for more!
