FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is based on my extensive teaching experience of 20 years and my credentials (MFA, BA). Tuition is based on a flat rate subscription that includes one weekly lesson at the regularly scheduled time between October 1st-September 30th. Enrollment subsequent to October 1st will be prorated per number of months remaining in the term and is due prior to the first lesson. The studio will be closed on the following days: January 1st, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, December 24th and December 25th. Tuition rates for the 2024-2025 academic year are calculated on the assumed average attendance of 40 lessons per year.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My lessons with you will include weekly private individual instruction as well as supervised instruction in music theory, history, ear training and composition. All lesson time durations include a minimum of 30 minutes per student for beginners and students aged 6-7. For intermediate and advanced students, a 45 or 60 minute lesson is recommended. Specific materials, including books, will be referred at the end of the first lesson after an initial assessment of the student.

University trained and certified through Arizona State University and The New School in music, I am certified in online and virtual piano pedagogy.
