I started taking piano lessons with Isidora in late 2021 and chose to continue with her even after she left the music school through which I had initially connected with her. She has been a fantastic teacher for this adult beginner. I have appreciated her teaching methods, her encouragement and support and flexibility with my schedule changes over the years. I feel like Isidora was able to meet me where I was at the beginning and really helped to stretch me further than I thought I could go (e.g., playing in a recital). My life priorities have changed and so I am discontinuing lessons at this time, but not because I don't feel like I could still continue to grow and learn with Isidora. I hope I will be able to return to lessons with her in the future. In the meantime, I have the knowledge and skills to continue to play for my own enjoyment, which was my goal from the beginning of taking lessons. I am grateful for everything I've learned from Isidora and am so glad I found her!

I have been taking lessons from Isidora for more than five years. As piano is not the highest priority focus for me, it can sometimes be challenging to be consistent, but, when I am, Isidora has helped me make a lot of progress. It’s good that for me Isidora has a comfortable lesson environment when I come to the lesson with negative progress (sometimes happens). Even then, we do focused practice and then I feel like I’m making progress again and my spirits are lifted. Specifically, I have learned some better strategies for practice and technique. Recently, I have been trying to learn how to use biomechanics and angular momentum (aka “the Taubman Approach”) to play better which has yielded much more control and a better, confident feeling when playing. While slow practice is key and well known, it’s also been very helpful to really focus on a particular part of music for a really short, timeboxed period of time. Isidora also offers some out-of-lesson options that really work for me including online & hybrid recitals, studio classes to prepare for recitals, and co-practice sessions where everyone just shows up and practices together in an accountable environment. It’s amazing to me how the co-practice sessions can help me–if not for any other reason but to give me that slight bit of extra motivation to set aside that specific time for practice. The piano is paradoxically the easiest and hardest instrument to play and it astounds me the depth of how deep the rabbit hole goes. Isidora has helped me see enough down into the hole that I’m motivated to go further but not intimidated by how much more there is down there.

Both of my kids (10 years now) have been taking lessons with Isidora for a year and half now. I highly recommend Isidora for young students. She creates engaging lessons that balance fun and learning, fostering a genuine love for music. My kids have grown not only in skill but also in confidence. She respects each child's musical preferences, allowing them to explore pieces they're passionate about. This approach creates an environment where learning feels personal and enjoyable. Additionally, her keen ability to identify strengths and weaknesses ensures tailored guidance, leading to steady progress. The semi-annual recitals are a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their growth and build confidence.

I'm very happy to be taking piano lessons with Isidora. She's very patient and encouraging during the lesson. If I don't understand something, she's creative in finding new ways to explain it. As an experienced teacher, she listens closely and gives very supportive and helpful comments. I always look forward to my lessons with Isidora--it's a pleasure to study with her!

I have been taking lessons with Isidora for a few months now and have been thoroughly enjoying our work together. We work together online through video and have had no issues, both the sound and video are top notch. Besides being a wonderful pianists she is also a wonderful teacher. Lessons are always an easy going, stress free affair with clear instruction and good constructive feedback. I often send her videos during the week of myself playing for her opinion on how Im doing which I think is really great-it helps me feel like Im on track. She teaches using the Taubman approach with the aim to help pianists use their body in a more natural manner to facilitate ease and comfort at the piano. Overall, I cant recommend Isidora enough. Im looking forward to continuing my studies with her and learning as much as I can.
