Benjamin Furman Piano and Music Lessons

I provide private music lessons for all ages and levels, Online or at my Studio in Brooklyn. I teach Piano, Composition, Improvisation, Songwriting, Music Theory and Music Appreciation. I graduated from Berklee College of Music, and have been teaching private lessons for 14 years. I'm an international recording and touring performer. I've been taught by great private teachers, including the great educators at Berklee College of Music, as well as others throughout my entire life. From that vast experience I've developed the ability to provide a methodology that is very personalized to the interests, goals and taste that resonate with each student, while covering the essentials of the style in question. I've been studying music all my life. I deeply believe that if taught correctly (from a place of celebration, love, passion, and hard work), music can uplift the life of the student in various ways. Music helped me greatly in my childhood, opening my mind to new ways of understanding not just sounds, but thoughts and expressions as well. Music is wonderful, of course, but it doesn't stop there... it will help many other aspects of your life. I am passionate about finding creative ways of reaching each student's interests and goals.
