Art Instruction:
An artist first, I bring my passion for visual problem solving to whatever I do. I am a NYS-certified art teacher and MFA recipient in Painting and quallified to work with students of all ages and skill levels.
Whether you're a parent looking to foster your child's creative interest, or an adult interested in taking your art practice to the next level, I can help. Regardless of age, skill or ability, I have helped hundreds of students reach their goals and become more confident artist.
Most importantly, I strive to instill my love for making and appreciating art in all of my students, catering to their individual needs and skill levels through a progressive teaching model. My sessions include 1-1 drawing and painting assistance in which I demonstrate various skills and techniques to ensure success for any learner.
Services:
Painting or Drawing Lessons
Work on a personal project or allow me to guide you as you develop a new skill. Lessons start at 1 hour and may be booked according to your desired length. Pre-pay for a package of 10 sessions and receive a 10% discount off the entire service.
High School or College Portfolio Development
Regardless of the level, preparing a portfolio can be a daunting task. It’s critical that that artist put together a strong body of work that demonstrates their understanding of basic concepts and techniques appropriate to their age and desired program of entry. Our Portfolio Development Programs are strategically tailored to fit each student’s needs allowing them to produce a personalized body of work for maximum success.
Originally designed to take students through this process from start to finish, the package length can be adjusted to suit each learner’s specific needs. Hour and half lessons are uniquely designed with the intention of maximizing a student's stamina while still enabling him/her to reach their desired goals. Pre-pay for a package of 10 sessions and receive a 10% discount off the entire service.
Adult Classes
Do you have a specific project you’d like to work on, or are you generally interested in learning how to paint? Allow me to guide you as you work toward reaching your goal. Lesson lengths can be adjusted according to your needs as well as the number of students per class. You may choose to work one-on-one or work with a group of friends. Meet at my Brooklyn studio or choose to have me come to you.
As a fully active participant of New York's art scene, I am in constant contact with new ideas as they present themselves and always do my best to share these ideas with my students.

About me:
I am a practicing artist currently making paintings and sculptures based in North Brooklyn. I co-founded Small Black Door, an experimental art space in Ridgewood, Queens in 2010 where I curated and organized art shows, performances and experiences over the course of 3 years.
