FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I usually don't charge hourly, unless its a one-time consultation. I charge for the project as a whole and it depends on the scope of work, level of involvement and the budget. I love what i do so i try to be as affordable as I can, so that more and more people can use an interior decorator to make the home they really want!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I have a phone conversation to understand the project and its requirements and then depending on the location of the client , i either meet them in person on site or have a video call with them. Once we have achieved a certain comfortable level and i feel i have understood what they love, like, need..and what they hate or dislike; i also give my suggestions, both functional and aesthetical about what might work for their space. Post which, i make a 'shopping list', discuss it,get it approved, and then i send multiple options for each item on that list; and help them shortlist and eventually finalize the items. Once the items are delivered, we work together to make sure the vision we had in mind is actually coming to life, and make changes if required. I dont leave the client's 'side' until they are satisfied and happy and i love our work together
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied fashion design but then went on to work as a visual merchandiser and consultant to architects ; as well as design manager for various design firms.
