I offer a boutique, individualized, professional service in New York City, and, by remote, all over. Formerly the Mac tech at a hip NYC retail store (and Apple Certified), I started doing house calls in 2005. I work for small businesses, many of them creative agencies, and lots of individual households.
*** I’m based in New York City, but I’ve had lots of success over the phone using secure, remote sessions. Note that except for surgery, all my work is done on an hourly basis, not per-project. ***
I do surgery and repair, data recovery, networking both wired & Wi-Fi (Apple used to call it Airport), training, troubleshooting, installation, upgrades and general consultation, on all shapes and sizes including Mac Book Pro, iMac, MacBook Air, Mac Mini, Mac Pro, Mac Studio and vintage Macs. Likewise, I support operating systems all the way from OS 9, through the OS X "cats" (Panther to Mountain Lion), to today's California-themed Sonoma and Sequoia. Look to me also for configuration and troubleshooting the major productivity tools like Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook/Entourage, Excel, PowerPoint), Apple's Safari, Mail, Keynote, and Pages, Firefox, and Google Chrome as well as Adobe's CC apps (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, etc.).
I can get your iOS (iPad/iPod/iPhone) and iCloud life humming along too. Or convert you to the Apple/Google hybrid that many use for contacts and scheduling.
For some, bedside manner matters most of all. No query is too smart, or too dumb, just as no setup too big or too small. I specialize in beginners as well as the savvy and have clients ranging in age from mid-20s to late-80s. I offer tutoring, training and maintenance for the same hourly price.
Outside of ministering to Macs, I have taught programming and music technology at NYU, and compose music. You get a seasoned pro who is swimming in Apple technology. Mine may not be your lowest bid--but I'm probably your best bet. I never give up, never talk down, and may well be the cheeriest, most easy-going techie you'll find.
