Miles was my bass teacher for over a year, and during that time I learned more about bass and music in general than the years of music I was studying before. Couldn’t be more grateful for what I’ve learned and I know I will be using the lessons for years to come

I can't say enough good things about Miles. Our whole family worked with him when we were in a band together through Crossroads music school. Each week Miles met with me, my husband and kids in the garage to practice our songs for months before our big performance of our family band (At the time my kids were in middle and high school). Miles has such a depth of musical skills and can teach many instruments, and most importantly shares this in an engaging and fun way. He was lighthearted and knew how to teach each of us at varying stages of our music skills. We always looked forward to our band lessons with Miles--he is fun, funny and knowledgeable about everything music. I also hired Miles to help me work on some of my own songs--he was a great teacher to turn to for editing my guitar chords and lyrics. I would highly recommend Miles as a music teacher and guide.

Miles is a phenomenal teacher. He is a stellar bass player who is ALSO a great teacher. He makes concepts fun and approachable, while giving me the student, very concrete actionable items to work on to improve my music. He meets me where I'm at and I've also appreciated the mindset support. Study with Miles!

Miles not only has a deep knowledge of a wide variety of musical styles, he is willing to meet you where you are, rather than pushing a canned linear sequence of exercises. Technical skills? Music theory? Feel? Philosophy? He has you covered. But most importantly, he is a genuine, kind, empathetic human being. Thumbtack allows picking only three of the five skills, but if I could have I would have selected all of them.
