I've been a self-taught guitar player for a few years now and I've had a lot of trouble learning theory and putting the fretboard together. I honestly thought theory wasn't for me and that I just couldn't learn it. But as soon as I started studying with Miles, he helped me connect dots about how the guitar and how music work that have been truly mind blowing. He's clearly super knowledgeable on all things music and he's a really articulate and patient teacher. I feel more inspired and connected to the guitar than ever thanks to him. I highly recommend him for all experience levels and styles on guitar and bass.

I can't say enough good things about Miles. Our whole family worked with him when we were in a band together through Crossroads music school. Each week Miles met with me, my husband and kids in the garage to practice our songs for months before our big performance of our family band (At the time my kids were in middle and high school). Miles has such a depth of musical skills and can teach many instruments, and most importantly shares this in an engaging and fun way. He was lighthearted and knew how to teach each of us at varying stages of our music skills. We always looked forward to our band lessons with Miles--he is fun, funny and knowledgeable about everything music. I also hired Miles to help me work on some of my own songs--he was a great teacher to turn to for editing my guitar chords and lyrics. I would highly recommend Miles as a music teacher and guide.

Miles is a phenomenal teacher. He is a stellar bass player who is ALSO a great teacher. He makes concepts fun and approachable, while giving me the student, very concrete actionable items to work on to improve my music.
